Reading your gas meter
The meter number is above the display and begins with the letters ELS or FLO (see blue arrows). The meter number is as unique as an ID card number and allows your supplier to know to which household or customer it belongs.
The meter reading is displayed in the area outlined in red. It shows your actual natural gas consumption at all times.
Your gas supplier needs your meter reading (shown on the display) and the meter number in order to issue your bill.
In case of a smart meter, this data is generally communicated automatically to your energy supplier.
