SUDenergie has published its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year shaped by responsible and forward-looking management in a challenging energy market environment. The report underlines a particularly positive development for customers: three consecutive reductions in the price of natural gas resulted in a cumulative decrease of more than 14% over the year, leading to a final tariff of 48.55 ct/m³ at year-end.
In the electricity sector, SUDenergie further strengthened its position as the most competitive supplier in Luxembourg throughout 2025. This was confirmed towards the end of the year with a tariff reduction made possible by favourable market conditions. As a result, the price of green electricity “Mäi Stroum” was reduced to 11.25 ct/kWh for residential customers.
The Annual Report also highlights the strong growth recorded since the launch of SUDenergie’s green electricity offers. The sustained increase in both supply points and delivered volumes reflects the trust placed in the company by its customers and confirms the relevance of its strategic positioning. At the same time, SUDenergie continued to build close partnerships with its shareholder municipalities, notably through the expansion of photovoltaic installations on municipal rooftops and the preparation of the third wind turbine of the SUDWAND project, scheduled for completion in 2026.
The year 2025 was also marked by a major milestone: the celebration of SUDenergie’s 125th anniversary. This exceptional anniversary paid tribute to the company’s long history, the commitment of its employees and its recognised role in promoting Luxembourg’s energy transition. The Annual Report also looks back on the anniversary celebration at the Rockhal, the launch of a dedicated website showcasing the history of SUDenergie, as well as internal changes and generational transitions within the workforce.
The 2025 Annual Report is available now and provides a comprehensive overview of SUDenergie’s key achievements, projects and future outlook.

'In 2025, against the backdrop of an energy market that remains both challenging and fast-moving, we continued to pursue our ambition with consistency: to provide our customers with reliable and competitively priced energy, while ensuring a high level of service quality.
This ambition is fully aligned with SUDenergie’s strategic direction, which is rooted in economic responsibility, close customer relationships and a strong commitment to supporting the energy transition.'
